Still working on perfecting the garage, but it's becoming a nice space.
Backstory: I love woodworking. My dad and I have been building some great projects over he years. We've built some awesome decks, sheds, cabinets, and many other sweet projects. This project is a sick heavy duty workbench to assist on other projects.
Sorry for the blurry picture, worse I thought this looked nice.
So I've never had a garage, but I've always been a bit of a gear head, so I thought this was nice and tidy. Turns out it could look a lot better.
Started late Friday night
Slow to start, but the bottom is boxed out and square.
Working my way up
This part would have been easier with an extra set of hands, but with a little patience and a lot of leveling it's starting to go vertical.
A great ending to the first night
Geez it would be handy to have a workbench with an inline miter. Well, it's a few hours in and starting to take shape.
With an infant at home early mornings are the best if you want to get something done!
After a few more hours of work on saturday morning, it's looking pretty good! Initially the side in this picture was going to be the front, but I changed my mind after looking at it and decided the slot for the miter should go in the front.
Hey look, there's where the table saw goes!
The craziest thing happened, the height was perfect for the table saw to sit flush with the top of the workbench! I mean, yes I measured like 100 times, but it seems like nothing goes that smoothly.
See. Perfect. Wow.
Here I added the on/off key to the side of the workbench. The power cord tucks away nicely and accessing the controls is pretty convenient.
Notice the miter in its slot
This is the only decent picture with the miter. The refrigerator is all set up and ready for cold refreshing drink!
Garage needs some paint, but the workbench turned out pretty good.
I'll update this with a link to "Garage remodel" once that project is finished.
